"If I were rain I would go where water cannot be found. "

..a thought from an impoverished child.. poverty-stricken and deprived from the 'luxuries' which are the necessities of our lives.
Who says time moves at the same pace for all..? For someone so young, to face the brutalities of life.. time must have moved so swiftly, childhood must have passed in the blink of an eye..
Who says there exists any universal truth..? For someone so innocent, to understand the bitter realities of life, truth must be so different than yours and mine..
When I compare myself.. my life to someone so unfortunate, I feel like a cheater. I feel as though all the things that give me pain are the figments of my imagination, my own creations they all are.. and nothing beyond. Forget experiencing, in the false world that we live in, I don't think I am even capable of imagining how different life could be..
But somewhere along.. every one of us, in our small worlds, find reasons to be happy..to rejoice, for life in itself is a beautiful blessing..
I feel so blessed that I can breathe
so thankful that I can decide where to go..
I can smile at life for no reason at all
God must be so happy to know.."

seriously the small things we cry about are nothin wen we look at the unpriviledged.
nice writing. touching......as always.
Rohit put it rightly....your thought was really touching, well obviously our pain is nothing as compared to their's,we crave for things like music and movies whereas they still lead a life where food is the thing to be earned at the end of the day...
But thats life...good or bad we need to learn to appreciate all the aspects without being affected ourselves.
wat is varenya trying to say in the first line??? any guess???
Rohit....????
Rohit, I suppose it's quite clear what varenya is tryin to say.. what's on your mind? Let it out..
Egjactly
Egg-zactly. Looks like Rohit's lost it. Rightly said, that however bad life might be, God has given us enough reasons to rejoice, for us, for them, for everyone.
looks like we all agree.. both that life is full of reasons to rejoice.. and that rohit's lost it :)
well aftr readin dis article,r world seems so unfair..v keep on nagging n complaining abt the trivialities of life wher as der r ppl der who rnt even gettin the neccesities...if in newaz v cn help these ppl v must lend a helping hand..dats our duty 2wards society bt at da same tym ,at our level,v must hav grattitude 4 wateva v hav n forever b grateful...
This reminds me of a quote...From Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.. (a.k.a. Mahatma Gandhi ) im not sure of the exact words...but it goes something like this
" If in doubt, look at poor old man, and think .. will my actions better this man's life? will my actions change his impoverished state?
And you will all your doubts melting away... "
What gandhi wanted to say was what sonika so eloquently put... we ppl really donthave much to crib about... if seen from the unfrtunate person's view...
P.S. I read this quote in our 10th grade history book...u know in the starting... so if any1s interested in knowin the exact quote... time to open up ure closet and dig up the pile of ure old books...great work sonika...take care ..love ya
